Modern + Retro: Rock N Roll Bride features Forever & Ever (at a bowling alley)

As mentioned previously, the first part of the inspirational shoot featuring all things chic and understated Britishness was featured on 100 Layer Cake; for the second part, we wanted to be more offbeat and quirky, and teamed up with Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes for something modern and retro… which of course got us thinking that readers and diehard fans of Rock N’ Roll Bride would love it!  So, we approached the pink haired “brocker” (bride + rocker!) and were so thrilled she said YES!  You can see the full feature on Rock N’ Roll Bride HERE.

The inspiration was all modern elegance + retro fun.  For me, the focal points were Delphine Manivet’s “Cyrus Guipure” dress from her current collection, Edwina Ibbotson’s hats, and the bowling balls. ;-)  I absolutely love all the detail within Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes – all the light fixtures in the shape of bowling pins, the colorful retro diner, the pool tables – all of it sets the tone for the perfect laid-back party!  You can also hire out the entire place on an exclusive hire basis for a pre-wedding event or even your wedding reception – just think how much fun your guests would have!

Keeping the Britishness and retro bowling theme in mind, Abbey from House of Sugalily created the cutest invitations…
